At Least 98 Palestinian Individuals Have Died in Detention Beginning in October 2023, Israeli Data Indicates

Based on information from Israel, no fewer than 98 detainees from Palestine have died during detention since October 2023. An advocacy organization based in Israel has stated that the actual toll is likely substantially higher, due to numerous of disappeared detainees from Gaza.

Study Results

Further inmates who perished in Israeli custody stay unnamed. Detention administrators and armed services supplied researchers with the figure of casualties in custody, and minimal further data such as the facility where they perished, but without the detainees’ identities.
